  • Lights that randomly turn on and off (_cycling_)
  • Broken fixtures

Duke Power.)

How to report:

Mark the pole by tying a ribbon* around it
Record the exact location (e.g. 512 N Buchanan Blvd,
or 1300 block Englewood Ave) and the problem on the
LOG

Report the outage to Duke Power at 382-3200 or
https://www.dukepower.com/content/

On the web form, check the box:
_Along a street or roadway_

Provide clear directions for lights on a vacant
section of a street, e.g. _1600 Washington St, 3rd
light south of Club Blvd, on east side of street_

Duke Power on the LOG

Follow up:

Duke Power has a policy of repairing streetlights
within three business days of issuing a confirmation
number.

Check back three business days after Duke Power has confirmed to ensure repair is completed.
If the repair is not complete contact Duke Power to
report it again.

* You can obtain supplies of blue and white ribbon for
marking light poles from Public Works (4th floor City
Hall). Contact Terry Thompson or Joan Apple at
560-4366.
