David Price Visits Old West Durham

Our U.S. Representative received a tour of the neighborhood and listened to concerns of residents, including the status of regional rail -- an upcoming project that will be affected by decisions Duke University makes about the stop for its medical center.

The tour began at the neighborhood sign.

Residents were able to share their thoughts with Rep. Price about issues concerning Old West Durham.

Walking along Hillsborough Road, OWDNA board members discussed planned development in the Erwin Square area.

We made a stop along Green Street, near Ninth, to let Congressman Price know of OWDNA's plans to pursue a green space for the neighborhood.

We stopped for a spell in the shade in front of E. K. Powe Elementary to hear some of the history of Old West Durham from OWDNA President John Schelp.
