Neighbors came to the Cosmic Cantina in the
Ninth Street district to mark the first anniversary of the OWD sign dedication and another successful year for OWDNA.

    One year ago, OWD unveiled its neighborhood sign on the corner of Hillsborough and Ninth. Neighbors gathered at a local eatery to mark that occasion and the past year's achievements.





     Rainstorms couldn't scare away residents from the celebration! The original sign dedication ceremony was on October 17, 1998. That date was declared "Old West Durham Day" by mayoral proclamation and local officials said wonderful things about what this neighborhood has accomplished over a very short period of time.




    Everyone had a great time and met new neighbors in Old West Durham.
